Remembering their names
Published in
On Saturday January 5, 2007, I began composing this tribute to the victims of Dutchman's Curve.
It was my interest in the travelers who died in the train wreck that inspired me to research this disaster. I was compelled to make their acquaintance.
I am humbled and honored to tell their story.
Notes From Betsy Thorpe
I hope the stories posted in this section will help family historians with their genealogical research. It is for that purpose I mention, race, place of birth, location of grave and parents country or state of orgin when known.

Jerry Stringfellow and I are currently updating the "Peoples Stories" with period photographs and relevant images. All train wreck photo's are of The Dutchman's Curve accident and were taken by NC&Stl photographer, Henry Hill. This is a long term project and will take some time to complete.
